Rock and Role
Well, we've finally hit the Drake passage ! But, it's more like the Drake passage is hitting us. Those of us who aren't used to life at sea are feeling a little under the weather. My sea legs are still standing strong. That's more then I can say for some of my fellow ship mates. I was feeling a little week in the knee's when I got up for my shift, but nothing bad enough to make me lose my lunch (thanks Dramamine).
Our biggest role was 13 degrees. Role is the amount the ship moves from side to side. 13 degrees is quite a bit but the waves are pretty small for the Drake. They're only about 10-15 feet. So, we have been very lucky in that respect, it could be much worse. Only another couple days of constant swaying and we'll be in the clear!! Did I mention that I'm on the night shift? The hardest part about the cruise so far has been trying to get my body used to waking up at 10 at night rather then 10 in the morning. Come to think of it, my bed time is approaching (2:00 p.m.). So, until next time. good after noon and good night.
